What You Need to Know
  • Drivers should be aware of crews installing signs on the shoulders of side roads, as well as project cleanup activities, including slow moving mobile seeding operations. Please also be aware of equipment and crews crossing the road.
  • This project is nearly complete.
Project End Result

The Alaska Department of Transportation, in cooperation with Great Northwest, Inc., is working to reconstruct the side streets along University Avenue. Work will include reconstructing and extending Halvorson Road and Wolf Run, relocating Indiana Avenue, as well as relocating utilities along the right-of-way. We will do our best to keep you informed as work progresses and appreciate your patience and cooperation during construction. This project is expected to be complete in September 2019.
