Road Closure

FUTURE ROAD CLOSURE: Westbound Tudor Road will be CLOSED from Minnesota Drive to Lois Drive from Friday, September 15 at 8:00pm to Monday, September 18 at 5:00am. Eastbound traffic will be open. Please follow DETOUR signs.

What You Need to Know
  • Expect LANE RESTRICTIONS daily from Minnesota Drive to Dale Street.
Traffic Impacts

Over the course of the season, be alert to night work with milling, paving and striping operations with LANE CLOSURES and flagging operations in effect. Day work will also occur on curb ramps and pedestrian facilities. There will be two separate weekend ROAD CLOSURES at Greenland Drive and the New Seward Highway.

Project End Result

The Alaska Department of Transportation, in cooperation with Quality Asphalt Paving, is working to construct new and improved driving surfaces, pedestrian facilities and drainage systems from Lois Drive to 36th Avenue. This project is expected to be complete by September 2018.

  • Traffic fines are double
  • Watch for changing driving surfaces
  • Watch for reduced speed limits
  • Be alert to and follow directions of flaggers
  • Drive with headlights on
  • Allow additional time when traveling
  • Watch for equipment and workers
