- Traffic impacts at this time are minimal. Be alert to workers and equipment next to the roadway.
- In observance of the Independence Day holiday, no work is expected to occur from Friday, July 3 through Monday, July 6.
Traffic Impacts
Through June 2015, you can expect DELAYS of up to 20 minutes, PILOT CAR and flagging operations, and gravel surfaces. Please note that the turnouts at MP 55 and MP 56.5 are CLOSED to traffic.
Project End Result
The Alaska Department of Transportation, in partnership with Great Northwest, Inc. is working to resurface the Tok Cutoff from MP 50 to MP 60. Planned improvements include replacing culverts, guardrails, signs, and re-establishing 6-foot roadway shoulder widths. This project is expected to be complete in June 2015.
