What You Need to Know
  • Expect PILOT CAR operations, flagging operations, construction crews and equipment on roadway Monday through Saturday from 7:00am to 8:00pm. Drivers can expect DELAYS up to 20 minutes. 
Traffic Impacts

Be alert to construction crews on roadway. Please use caution when driving construction zone. 

Project End Result

The Alaska Department of Transportation is working to construct two new waysides at MP 84 and Mosquito Fork Dredge Trailhead at MP 68.1 of the Taylor Highway.

Safety in all construction zones:

  • Traffic fines are double
  • Watch for changing driving surfaces
  • Watch for reduced speed limits
  • Be alert to and follow directions of flaggers
  • Drive with headlights on
  • Allow additional time when traveling
  • Watch for equipment and workers
