What You Need to Know
  • Drivers should be aware of milling and paving operations.
  • Drivers should expect traffic control from 8:00pm to 6:00am nightly.
  • Drivers should be aware that asphalt may be a milled surface; motorcyclists should use extreme caution.
  • Please be aware that there may not be a useable shoulder throughout the project.
Traffic Impacts

Drivers should expect flagging operations, PILOT CARS and short DELAYS. Please plan your route accordingly and be alert to workers and equipment in the area.

Project End Result

The Alaska Department of Transportation and in partnership with Wolverine Supply, Inc. the project will add left turn lanes to Forest Lane and Jim Dahler Road. The shoulders will be brought up to standard, and drainage and site distance will be improved. New highway lighting will be installed to increase safety in the corridor. This season's work will consist of highway lighting work, embankment construction, paving and signing and striping.
