What You Need to Know
- Expect SINGLE-LANE TRAFFIC, 20-minute DELAYS, flagging and PILOT CAR operations on the Sterling Highway from 10:00pm Sunday through 12:00pm Friday, through September.
Be alert to heavy equipment and construction workers on the shoulder of the Sterling Highway from MP 135 to 157, 24 hours a day.
Project End Result
The Alaska Department of Transportation is working with QAP to preserve the Sterling Highway between MP 135 and MP 150. Upon completion, this pavement preservation project will overlay the existing pavement and will include guardrail replacement, pipe replacement, sign replacement and new striping. This project is projected to be completed by October 2015.
