SEWARD HIGHWAY MP 50 EMERGENCY REPAIR ROAD CONSTRUCTION through September
What You Need to Know
  • Drivers should expect intermittent LANE RESTRICTIONS and flagging operations. 
  • Please be aware that the northbound passing lane and turn-out area near MP 50 will be CLOSED for the month of September.
  • Please drive with caution and follow all construction signs.
Project End Result

The Alaska Department of Transportation, in cooperation with QAP, is working on emergency repairs associated with embankment slope failure located at the Seward Highway MP 50 resulting from the November 2018 earthquake. Work will include slope repair and drainage, as well as grading, paving, and striping a 300 foot section of the highway. This project is expected to be complete in September 2019.
