• Expect flagging and PILOT CAR operations due to paving work, Monday through Saturday, from 7:00am to 5:30pm. Work is moving east to west, from Nelson Road to Badger Road. Shoulder work will continue with trucks hauling material as needed throughout the week.

Over the course of the season, be alert to road construction.

The Alaska Department of Transportation, in partnership with Exclusive Paving, is working to construct a bicycle/pedestrian facility on Plack Road, from Badger Road to Nelson Road. Improvements include culvert work, adding 6-foot shoulders to Plack Road for the bicycle/pedestrian facility and realigning the road from approximately Parham McCormick Road to Nelson Road. This project is expected to be complete in October 2015.
