What You Need to Know
- Be alert to flagging and PILOT CAR operations, from 6:00am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday, between MP 197 and MP 200, and between MP 212 and 215. Beginning Tuesday, July 7, work will also be in effect between MP 232 to MP 235.
- In observance of the Independence Day holiday, no work is expected to occur from Friday, July 3 through Monday, July 6.
Traffic Impacts
Over the course of the season, be alert to DELAYS of up to 20 minutes, PILOT CAR and flagging operations, and gravel surfaces.
Project End Result
The Alaska Department of Transportation, in cooperation with Great Northwest, Inc., is working to add three passing lanes near Cantwell and Healy: MP 232.7-234.7, MP 213.1-215.1 (northbound only), MP 197.7-200.1. This project is scheduled to be complete in September 2015.
