What You Need to Know
  • Construction crews are working nightly from Monday to Friday, weather permitting, and at varying times on the weekends. Drivers should expect short DELAYS.
  • Drivers please be aware of traffic control devices and signs, as well as PILOT CAR and flagging operations.
  • Drivers should be aware that asphalt may be a milled surface; motorcyclists should use extreme caution.
Project End Result

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, in cooperation with Knik Construction Company, is working on the Kenai Spur Highway from MP 12 to 18. Construction crews are installing asphalt surfacing, rumble strips on the shoulders, signage and striping. Work is expected to be complete in October 2018.
