Project End Result

The Alaska Department of Transportation, in cooperation with Granite Construction Company, is working to repair both the 48" culvert and failed embankment on the Sterling Highway at Milepost 155.5 caused by the November 2018 Earthquake. Project work includes digging out 625' of roadway structure and replacing the roadway with new, 5" asphalt. Project work also includes installing new guardrail and striping. This project is expected to be complete in May of 2022.
