The Alaska Department of Transportation, in cooperation with Granite Construction, is working to repair damages from the November 2018 earthquake at the Glenn Highway and Parks Highway interchange, as well as adjacent areas. During Fall 2021, crews will be building an access road to the south abutment of the Spring Creek Bridge from the northbound off-ramp towards Palmer. This work should continue through mid-November.
During the 2022 construction season, crews will be rebuilding the northbound off-ramp towards Palmer to the first bridge. Crews will also be repairing the lifting apparatus of one of the high tower lights as well as various areas of slope cracking throughout the Glenn Highway and Parks Highway interchange.
