ROAD CLOSURE:Access to Potter Drive is CLOSED at Dowling Road until Friday, October 30. Businesses on Potter Drive between 'A' Street and Dowling Road can be accessed from the north by using the 'C' Street DETOUR route.

The Alaska Department of Transportation is working with Granite Construction to extend Dowling Road west, from C Street to Minnesota Drive. Work includes a new bridge over the Alaska Railroad lines at Arctic Boulevard, new traffic signals, class-A bike lanes, and separated trails along both sides. This project is projected to relieve Tudor Road congestion. West Dowling Road is scheduled to be open to traffic on Saturday, October 31, 2015 with a completion date of June 30, 2016.
