DENALI HIGHWAY FLOOD REPAIRS ROAD CONSTRUCTION through the season
What You Need to Know
  • Expect flagging and PILOT CAR operations, and DELAYS up to 20 minutes at various construction sites along the Denali Highway from MP 131 to 81 and at MP 47.5, Monday through Saturday from 7:00am to 8:00pm.
  • Be alert to truck crossings on Denali Highway at MP 118 and MP 55. Drivers should also be alert to maintenance crews on the Denali Highway from Paxson to Cantwell.
Traffic Impacts

Please drive with caution as road width and conditions on the Denali Highway varies.  Be alert to truck crossings on Denali Highway at MP 55 and 118.

Project End Result

The Alaska Department of Transportation, in partnership with Mass Excavation, is working to improve drainage and help protect roadway and bridges from future flood damage.

  • Watch for changing driving surfaces
  • Watch for reduced speed limits
  • Be alert to and follow directions of flaggers
  • Drive with headlights on
  • Allow additional time when traveling
  • Watch for equipment and workers
