  • This project is complete. Construction crews are expected to be off the roadway by September 20.

Be alert to equipment in the roadway and please drive with caution throughout construction zones.

Project End Result

The Alaska Department of Transportation, in cooperation with Brice, Inc., is working to reconstruct the Dalton Highway, from MP 397 to MP 414. Upon completion, this section of the Dalton Highway will have sturdier embankment, as well as new culverts and fish passages. This project is expected to be complete in October 2017.

Safety in all construction zones:

  • Traffic fines are double
  • Watch for changing driving surfaces
  • Watch for reduced speed limits
