What You Need to Know
  • Construction crews will be working long shifts Monday through Sunday 6:00am to 9:00pm. Drivers should expect DELAYS up to 30 minutes. 
  • Be alert to PILOT CAR operations from MP 362 to 370 and MP 379 to 390.
Traffic Impacts

Be alert to equipment in the roadway outside of PILOT CAR zones. Please observe a 45 MPH speed limit and drive with caution throughout construction zones. Expect slippery road conditions during surface application from MP 379 to 397. Motorcyclists use extreme caution on loose gravel surfaces.

Project End Result

The Alaska Department of Transportation, in cooperation with Cruz Construction, is working to raise grade to mitigate future potential flood damage, replace culverts and resurface the roadway. This project is expected to be complete in October 2018.
