What You Need to Know
- Be alert to LANE CLOSURES, flagging operations, DELAYS, and workers and equipment in the roadway, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Access for all businesses, residences and emergency services will be maintained.
- During the Tanana Valley State Fair through Sunday, August 16, please use Danby Street or the west end of College Road for access. Work will be happening at the College/Margaret/Antoinette intersection with LANE CLOSURES, flagging operations and DELAYS, Monday through Saturday from 7:00am to 7:00pm.
Traffic Impacts
Over the course of the season, be alert to ROAD CLOSURES, LANE CLOSURES, flagging operations, DELAYS, and equipment and workers in the roadway.
Project End Result
The Alaska Department of Transportation is working to rehabilitate College Road and reconstruct the College/Antoinette/Margaret Avenue intersection. Planned improvements include repaving College Road from University Avenue to Maryleigh Avenue, upgrading pedestrian facilities (adding sidewalks) and upgrading intersections (new lights and markings). The Margaret Avenue and Antoinette Avenue intersection will be realigned on College Road to help improve traffic flow and safety. This project is expected to be complete by mid-October 2015.
