What You Need to Know
- Beginning Monday, August 17 through Friday, August 21, firewood will be made available to the public off of Langille Road.
- Crews are performing drilling operations and clearing activities.
- Drivers should be aware of crews and equipment entering and exiting the Sterling Highway at Bean Creek Road and Juneau Creek Road.
- Hikers on Bean Creek Trail and Resurrection Pass Trail should be aware of equipment and crews near the trail system.
Project End Result
The Alaska Department of Transportation, in cooperation with Kiewit Infrastructure West Co., is performing preliminary land clearing activities required for the new Sterling Highway between MP 45 and 60 in Cooper Landing, Alaska. This work will allow for geotechnical activities, drill rigging, and design access.
