- Drivers should expect a LANE CLOSURE with flagging operations at MP 111.5, near the McHugh Creek Day Use Area, from 8:00am to 8:00pm, seven days a week.
- Drivers should be aware of a reduced speed limit of 45 MPH throughout the project area and a concrete barrier along the guardrail.
The Alaska Department of Transportation, in cooperation with Hi-Tech Rockfall Construction Inc., is performing stabilization work to mitigate rockfall sites along the Seward Highway between Anchorage and Girdwood. This is a multi-year project to address the highest potential rockfall areas between Anchorage and Girdwood. This project is expected to be complete in July 2023.
