Road Closure

Through Monday, August 10, the intersection of Pine Street and Klondike Avenue is CLOSED.

What You Need to Know
  • Crews are constructing bike lanes on Pine Street from Debarr Road to Klondike Avenue and on McCarrey Street from Klondike Avenue to Mountain View Drive.
  • Crews are performing drainage, paving, sidewalk installation, signing, and striping operations. 
Project End Result

The Alaska Department of Transportation, in cooperation with Roger Hickel Contracting, Inc., is constructing new bike lanes along Pine Street and McCarrey Street. This project is expected to be complete in August 2020.

  • Watch for changing driving surfaces

  • Allow additional time when traveling
  • Watch for equipment and workers
