ROAD CLOSURE: The Old Glenn Highway, between Lace Road and Peters Creek Park, is CLOSED and is anticipated to re-open in late July. During this extended closure, the Peter's Creek Bridge will be removed and replaced. Please follow construction signs for DETOUR routes. During this closure the pedestrian pathway and the Peter's Creek Community Park will remain open.

Traffic Impacts
Expect work on the Old Glenn Highway, between South Birchwood Loop Road and Peters Creek, Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 7:00pm, and on Saturday from 7:00am to 7:00pm. Expect intermittent LANE RESTRICTIONS and short DELAYS.
End Result Once Project is Complete
When the Old Glenn Highway project is complete, there will be a widened roadway with the addition of 4-foot shoulders, improved sight distance, along with the creation of a left turn pocket at North Birchwood Loop, and the addition of a 2,500-foot truck climbing lane. Other work includes drainage improvements, the replacement of the Peters Creek Bridge and new Fire Creek tributary culverts. In addition, new guardrail will be installed improving the waiting areas at bus stops and a new 10-foot pedestrian pathway will be created.
