• Be alert to paving operations between the Old Richardson Highway and Holmes Road on Wednesday, July 27. Construction of a new business approach at Doughchee Avenue will continue daily through approximately Saturday, July 30, from 7:00am to 5:30pm.

Over the course of the season, be alert to LANE CLOSURES near the intersection of the Richardson Highway and Badger Road (nearest to Fairbanks), as well as path/sidewalk CLOSURES. In addition, expect flagging operations and shoulder work throughout the project area, and gravel surfaces during evening hours.

The Alaska Department of Transportation, in partnership with Exclusive Paving, is working to resurface the Badger Road bike and pedestrian path and improve existing Americans with Disabilities Act compliant ramps. We will do our best to keep you informed as work progresses and appreciate your patience and cooperation during construction. This project is expected to be complete by August 2016.
