ROAD CLOSURE: Be alert to a ROAD CLOSURE on College Road between the Old Steese and Steese Highways, through approximately Sunday, July 31. Follow construction signs for DETOUR routes along the Steese Highway to the Johansen Expressway (northbound), and along the Steese Highway to 3rd Street (southbound).

• Expect construction work Monday through Friday, from 7:00am to 5:30pm. In addition, be alert to occasional night work, with DETOURS and LANE CLOSURES.
• Normal business access, including to businesses on the Old Steese Highway, will be maintained. Due to high traffic volume, please expect DELAYS at traffic signals when traveling in the area and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Over the course of the season, be alert to a LANE CLOSURE in both directions on College Road between the Steese Expressway and Old Steese Highway, from Tuesday, May 31 through approximately Thursday, September 1. In addition, there will be night work on the Steese Expressway and Old Steese Highway as needed, with SINGLE-LANE TRAFFIC.

The Alaska Department of Transportation, in cooperation with Paving Products, is working to install two new right hand turn pockets on College Road, between the Steese Expressway and the Old Steese Highway. This project is expected to be complete in September 2016.
