What You Need to Know
  • Drivers should expect DELAYS of 20 minutes and SINGLE-LANE RESTRICTIONS with PILOT CAR and flagging operations.
  • Drivers should be aware of soft spots on the road that are yet to be fixed, please drive with caution.
  • Project work is expected to be complete by Monday, October 22.
Project End Result

The Alaska Department of Transportation, in cooperation with Timberline Excavation, is working to stabilize embankments on the Dalton Highway from MP 89 to 90. Project work will include flattening slopes, raising the grade, installing new culverts and geotextile wicking fabric, as well as surface improvements for dust control. Project work is expected to be complete by the end of October 2018.
